covid-19 update (21/6/20)
To the Langhorne Creek Community,
We are pleased to provide an update with return to play.
Everyone (members, players, parents and coaching staff) has undertaken a tremendous effort and we thankyou for all your support during this time.
Refer below to the updated protocols as per SA Community Football Road Map (found below).
However a few key items to summarise are:
• Training this week returns to “normal historical training times” – Contact your coach for specific details.
• Thursday Night Teas and Bar will be in operation this week. There will be a few restrictions still to adhere to (eg sitting during consumption, and limitation to numbers within the club rooms) – however we are excited to welcome you all back to the clubrooms.
• Training Rooms will now be open. Due to restrictions both training rooms will be open with a maximum number required in each room. The Showers however will need to remain off limit still at this time.
From Friday 19 June:
• Full squad training can commence
• No mandated training configurations
• Internal trial matches can occur
• Records of participants are no longer required
• Access to changerooms and toilets permitted, however no showers or wet areas
• Up to 300 spectators can attend training/matches – record of attendance not required
• Sale of food and beverage, including alcohol permitted
From Friday 26 June
• Full Squad Training Continues
• Inter-Club Trial Matches Permitted
• Competition Matches Permitted
• Up to 300 spectators can attend training/matches plus the above points highlighted in red
From Friday 3 July
• Competition with Spectators of at least 500 (limits and protocols being finalised)
• Wet Area Access (restrictions and protocols being finalised)
• Sale of food and beverage, including alcohol permitted
As highlighted, the restrictions associated with a return to competition are constantly improving and moving in a positive direction. We expect further detail next week regarding restrictions and protocols relating to match day management, in particular wet area access from Friday 3 July.
In short, we are extremely confident that leagues and clubs that have set a commencement date will be positioned to play football in an environment which is not only extremely viable, but which is far more advanced than we could have all had hoped for only a short time ago.
For further information on the protocols, please refer to the SANFL Return to Play website: https://sanfl.com.au/returntoplay/

Covid-19 update (31/5/20)
With restrictions still imposed on the greater community it has been a welcomed sign this week to see training return to Hawk Park (albeit not to the level we are accustomed too).
It has been great to see all playing groups, parents, caregivers, coaches and supporters embrace all of the current protocols.
We are excited however to now announce we can proceed to Stage 3 of the SANFL & Community Football 'Return to Play RoadMap'. So what does this mean for us:
* Training can continue - with contact now permitted in match simulation and drills (includes use of tackle bags etc)
* Training Groups of up to a maximum of 20 players with no more than 4 groups per oval at any one time. With groups not permitted to interact
* All other protocols still remain in place (eg training register will be required, social distancing measures, non access to club rooms, parents staying in vehicles etc).
You will note that the new checklist (as provided below) states access to change rooms & gyms allowable for medical treatment etc with minimum numbers - however at this time the club has opted not to open the change rooms. The separate toilet facilities at the rear of the club still do remain open.
Keep up the great work and thanks to all of those that have been working behind the scenes to make all of this happen at this time.

SANFL LEVEL B // RETURN TO TRAINING GUIDELINES
CoviD-19 Presidents update (12/5/20)
Players, coaches, members, sponsors, parents and all supporters of the Langhorne Creek Football Club.
Firstly a big thank you to all of your ongoing patience in regards to The LCFC absence through the COVID19 Pandemic.
It has been a very challenging time for all involved and I am sure we now realise how important the LCFC is to our great community and the role it plays in our lives.
We are now at an important juncture; with a number of models being presented over the coming days about how clubs like ours can get back to training and games as we work with the ongoing social distancing restrictions.
Please be aware that the communication becoming public at this time are both in regard to Government and SANFL guideline documents.
The Key for the LCFC will be the adaptation that the Great Southern Football League and the 10 clubs that make up the GSFL decide it can handle.
Several key meetings and updates are scheduled over the next week to work this out. So we ask for a bit more patience at this time.
There will be mutual avenues of updates coming over the next week from committee members and coaches. In the meantime stay safe and lets cross our fingers we are either crashing into some packs soon or enjoying a Lake Breeze at the bar soon.

COVID-19 UPDATE (17/3/20)
Langhorne Creek Football Club community - Please find below the latest update in this extraordinary event.
2020 will go down as one of the most unique years in history, the layout does give hope that we will get some football in late June and this is what we will set our sights on and put all our efforts and energies into the preparation of this happening. The club will get all coaches and team managers together in the next couple of days to start this process and set our sights for June and keep everyone updated on the plans but in all this the most important thing is for everyone to look after themselves and their families during this tough time ahead. Thanks to everyone for your support and patience during this time.
Following the statement from the SANFL - in regards to Community Football across all Leagues in the State and beyond being postponed until May 31st, including as we stated earlier today, all training, trial games, and Women’s football.
The League has decided in light of this to run a 9 game season (Saturdays) – commencing on the 20th of June which would have been Round 10.
Every Club will play everybody once in a home and away series. We hope that this decision will give clubs an opportunity to train, play trial/s over the first 19 days of June up until the first round.
The Women’s/Girls football (Sundays) season will be adjusted to play the last 6 weeks of the season and this should let everybody play everybody else once (including the opening round last weekend) with finals to follow on. This should, at this stage, commence the same weekend.
We are still at the mercy of where this thing goes but we need to be aware that this is, of course, the biggest thing to hit Australia in living memory and we all must play our part in holding off the virus from the general population for as long as possible.
We thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.
As always our concern is with the safety and well being of our players, support staff, club members and supporters.
